At Layia Village Crafts, every piece of olive wood and every brushstroke reflects the natural rhythms and heritage of our village environment. We believe art should not only celebrate nature, but active protect and nourish it.

Sustainably Sourced Heritage We exclusively work with reclaimed Cyprus olive wood—prunings and fallen timber carefully gathered from local groves. By honoring the grain, whorls, and history within each piece, we turn rescued wood into lasting heirlooms without harming living trees.

Fostering Local Biodiversity Beyond the workshop, our living space is dedicated to supporting local wildlife. Through handcrafted bee hotels, natural hedgerows, and wildlife-friendly planting, we create habitats for native pollinators and birds essential to our rural ecosystem.
