Shaping Heritage: The Road to Cyprus 2030
Welcome to the Studio Journal. This is our quiet corner of the internet where we share the stories, the dirt, and the dust behind The DoodLynn Den.
As Cyprus prepares for the monumental Cyprus 2030 European Capital of Culture, we are reflecting deeply on our role as local artisans here in the historic foothills of Layia. Our work—whether it is a vibrant landscape painted en plein air by Lynn or a sculpture carved from ancient, fallen wild olive wood—is entirely bound to the natural rhythm of this island.
True craftsmanship cannot be rushed. In a world of mass production, our creation process takes time. It requires patience to look at a raw, weathered piece of timber, understand its grain, and slowly carve out its hidden story at the workbench. Each piece is an individual journey that takes weeks, sometimes months, to complete.
Through this journal, we invite you behind the scenes. We will be sharing our upcoming initiatives, open-studio dates, and exclusive previews of the commemorative pieces we are creating for the 2030 cultural celebrations.
Thank you for stepping into our world and supporting authentic, slow-made Cypriot heritage.
